Connect Sanka to Codex

Open Create from the Codex Plugins screen and add the Sanka URL — that's all it takes to connect.

To use Sanka from Codex, open Plugins, choose Create plugin, and paste a prompt that includes the Sanka Plugin URL.

Preparation

  • A Sanka account
  • Access to the Sanka workspace you want to connect
  • The Codex macOS / Windows app
  • Sanka Plugin URL: https://github.com/sankaHQ/sanka-plugin.git

Open Create in Codex

  1. Open the Codex app.
  2. Select Plugins in the sidebar.
  3. Click Create in the upper-right corner.
  4. Select Create plugin from the menu.

Paste the prompt

After choosing Create plugin, Codex opens a setup prompt. Paste a request that includes the Sanka Plugin URL.

Codex will create the plugin and open Sanka authorization when needed.

Sign in and authorize

After plugin creation, a Sanka authorization page opens in your browser.

  1. Sign in to Sanka.
  2. Choose the workspace to connect.
  3. Authorize Codex to use Sanka Plugin.
  4. Return to the Codex app after authorization completes.

Confirm the connection

Back in Codex, start with a read-focused prompt:

Before running business actions, ask Codex to inspect the target record and summarize the action.

@sanka Check Acme's deal and summarize what is needed to create an estimate. Do not create it yet.
For CSV imports, start with mapping and duplicate review:

First inspect Company properties, propose CSV column mappings, decide whether this should create or update records, and flag likely duplicate companies.
Do not run the import yet.

Switch workspaces

If you have access to multiple Sanka workspaces, ask Codex to switch workspaces in plain language. You do not need to recreate Sanka Plugin or repeat OAuth for each workspace.

After switching, company, deal, expense, and other results come from the new workspace.

Uninstall Sanka

To remove Sanka from Codex, delete or disable Sanka Plugin from Plugins.
  1. Open Plugins in the Codex app.
  2. Select Sanka Plugin.
  3. Click the remove or disable action.
  4. Confirm the action.
After removal, Codex can no longer call Sanka data or actions. To use Sanka again, create Sanka Plugin from this guide and connect with OAuth again.

Troubleshooting

  • If Create plugin is not visible, update the Codex app and reopen Plugins.
  • If plugin creation stops partway through, ask Codex: "Check the Sanka Plugin setup status and continue the remaining steps."
  • If the authorization page does not open, ask Codex: "Open the Sanka OAuth connection page again."
  • If the plugin does not stay connected after authorization, remove Sanka Plugin and create it again.
  • If you cannot choose the target Sanka workspace, ask a workspace administrator to check your access.
